Every year a pub's quiz night culminates in a nationwide search for New Zealand's smartest pub quiz team, the best of which gather in a three hour extravaganza which is often only decided by a point or two!

Registrations for the 23rd annual New Zealand Pub Quiz Championship are officially open!
New Zealand’s premiere trivia event is back for its 23rd year. On Saturday 11 November, the best quiz-goers will gather all around the country to compete for the glory of being crowned New Zealand’s best quiz team. If you think you and your teammates have what it takes, fill in the form linked below, and send it to info@believeitornot.co.nz, alongside your entry fee.
This year’s venue is once again The Grand Hall at Auckland’s Eden Park. Reprising his role from last year is our host, BION’s own Matt Ansley.
The quiz itself is a normal (slightly elevated) BION quiz which you all know and love, with a few additions for the Championship event.
As usual, the top three teams will receive prizes (prizes TBC closer to the event), alongside the usual spot prizes and Best Dressed Team award.
The entry fee is $320 per team. Each team may have a maximum of eight people. Entries close at 5 pm on Monday 6th November. The event is strictly limited by the size of the venues, and spots will be given to teams who have registered and paid on a first-come-first-served basis, so get in quick!
